Application Requirements for International Students

International applicants who are in their last year of high schools or high school graduates can apply to Izmir Kavram Vocational School in 2021-2022 academic year

Applicants who have the following qualifications can apply;

1.    Foreign nationals, Turkish citizens by birth, but released from citizenship by the Ministry of the Internal Affairs, and who can certify that their minor children who are registered in that permit are eligible for the rights stated in Law No. 5203

2.    Foreign nationals by birth and who became Turkish citizen afterwards/dual citizens in the same status

3.    Turkish nationals who completed their secondary education (high school) in a foreign country excluding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,

4.    Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus nationals who reside there and completed their secondary education there having a GCE AL certificate

Documents Required for Application

1.    Application Form

2.    Originals of High School Transcript and Diploma

3.    Equivalance Certificate, obtained by Ministry of National Education of Turkey or Turkish Embassies abroad, showing that high school diploma is equivalent to diplomas obtained from Turkish high schools

4.    Copy of passport

 Documents Required for Final Application

1.    Original high school diploma

2.    Original Equivalence Certificate obtained by Ministry of National Education of Turkey or Turkish Embassies abroad, showing that high school diploma is equivalent to diplomas obtained from Turkish high schools

3.    Copy of passport,

Students with blue cards are also required to bring their Blue Cards

ID Cards if a student is a Turkish national

4.    6 photos

If the enrolled program is in the Turkish language and if the English preparatory class is not compulsory; a Turkish language certificate, obtained from TÖMER, can be accepted. 

A year of English preparatory education is compulsory for the students who are enrolled in the programs that language of instruction is English. International students who have the right to register to the department that language of instruction is English are subject to the Language Proficiency Exam. Students who are successful in this exam, are able to start from the 1st year. Unsuccessful students in this exam, have to take English preparatory education for a year.

FOR INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Acceptance of exchange students is done within the framework of bilateral agreements (Erasmus etc.) signed between Izmir Kavram Vocational School and the partner institutions.

FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS

Students who want to transfer to Izmir Kavram Vocational School from any higher education institution are required to fulfill the conditions determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK). The registration and acceptance of the transfer students are made according to the quotas announced by YÖK.
