CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

A successful graduate of Izmir Kavram Vocational School’s Associate Degree Programme in Occupational Health and Safety can work as “Occupational Health and Safety Technologists” in any institutions of the public or private sector. In accordance with the current provisions of the legislation, they can be awarded the title “C Class Occupational Safety Specialist” if they participate in trainings and pass the “Specialty Examination for Class C Occupational Safety”, administered by the Ministry of Labour.

Technical employees who can confirm with their employment contract that they actively worked at least three years with their Certificate of C Class Occupational Safety Specialist, and pass the “Specialty Examination for Class B Occupational Safety” can be awarded the title “B Class Occupational Safety Specialist”.

Technical employees who can confirm with their employment contract that they actively worked at least three years with their Certificate of B Class Occupational Safety Specialist, and pass the “Specialty Examination for Class A Occupational Safety” can be awarded the title “A Class Occupational Safety Specialist”.

In accordance with the current provisions of the legislation, if they take and pass the Vertical Transfer (Transfer from a Two-Year College to a 4-Year One) Examination (DGS), Occupational Health and Safety Technologists can apply for an undergraduate degree programme in:

Emergency and Disaster Management,

Business Administration,

Social Work, and

Health Management.

International students can apply for a programme relevant to their field, as well.
